There is speculation that the floods in Brisbane, Australia were caused partly because of Australia's "obsession" with Global Warming helped contribute to the floods. This report states that the Australian politics and officials believed that the problem we face today is a increase in temperature and droughts/lack of rain and did not really expect all of that rain and flooding to hit Brisbane.
