A little bit about global warming

Global Warming, if your don't already know is the theory that the planet's near surface temperature has slowly been increasing over time. Many people believe that greenhouse gases, air pollution, the decay of the ozone layer etc. It has really gone in to focus of the public eye since the turn of the century. The surface temperature has rapidly increased since the late 1960s-Early 1970s and is still rapidly increasing. Global warming occurs when the greenhouse gases trap heat and light from the sun and keeps it in the Earth's atmosphere which causes the temperature to increase.
